Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra keeps old design

According to tipster IceUniverse, who shared images of Galaxy S27 Ultra screen protectors, the phone’s screen design is nearly identical and perhaps interchangeable with the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.

This change in front display between two consecutive Ultra flagships is the smallest in Samsung’s history. The new Galaxy S27 Ultra will adopt the next-generation M16 OLED display, which offers up to 10,000 nits peak local brightness and 2,800 nits peak global brightness. The M16 OLED display’s improved brightness will provide a better viewing experience, especially in outdoor environments, and its higher color accuracy will result in more vivid and realistic images.

It is rumored that the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra will come with a new 16MP selfie camera and a higher-capacity battery.

Despite the same form factor, the phone‘s battery size is increasing due to improved energy density. The company is redesigning the camera island on the back of the phone, which will span much of the phone’s rear width while keeping the cameras positioned on the left.

The phone is expected to retain a 6.9-inch display with 3,120 x 1,440 resolution and Privacy Display technology. With new technology and a new camera, users can expect improved performance from the same form factor. The Privacy Display feature will continue to provide users with an additional layer of security and privacy.

As the release of the Samsung Galaxy S27 series approaches, more leaks are expected to surface in the coming months, providing further insight into the phone’s features and design.
